Writer and passionate mountain biker Michel Romen (1981) is an expert in mountain bike riding technique. He has taught several instructional courses for a variety of renowned cycling organizations, including the Royal Dutch Cycling Federation KNWU and the Recreational Dutch Cycling Federation NTFU. He is an MTB3-certified instructor for the NTFU.
As a former member of the Dutch national cycling team, Michel also competed in the bike trials discipline. This provided him with a lot of knowledge and experience on bike handling.
Michel is a co-founder of Trailz 043, a progressive Dutch mountain bike organization. He is a regular contributor to mountain bike magazines and websites, writing about MTB riding techniques and travel destinations. He drew on all this experience when creating the book Bike Skills.
